Why “Angry”?

Ever think about who’s allowed to be angry? What’s considered justified? And who gets to decide? Anger is often misread as violence. While the two can coincide, it’s not a given. In a world where toxic positivity, spiritual bypassing, and gratitude are over-prescribed, I view anger as a necessary tool to alert us that we—or others—deserve better.

Who benefits from repressed anger? Mostly, the ones who are causing the harm.

WHAT AM I SO ANGRY ABOUT?

White Supremacy. Ableism. Ageism. Classism. Capitalism. State Sanctioned Violence. Racial Stereotypes. Misogyny. Homophobia. Transphobia. Rape Culture. Body Shaming. People Pleasing. Tone Policing. Child Trafficking aka Adoption. Objectification. Narcissists. Hate Crimes. Hustle Culture. Revisionist & Excluded History. Exploitation. Abuse Apologia. And more.

A displaced, bought & sold queer woman of color. I’ve been freelance designing and writing for decades while managing chronic illness and trauma. The painting on the homepage is also my work. (You may not see it on mobile.)

“Isn’t selling things in conflict w/anti-capitalism?”

Those critical of capitalism aren’t magic. Like it or not, we exist in *this* society. Most of us can’t keep ourselves housed and fed with our ideals alone. I’m doing what I need to get by with my skills and creativity in a way that feels more in tune with my values.

DON’T RIP ME OFF

I know it’s a lot to ask of people these days, but please. I put a lot of work into this.
